Jalapeno Poppers

These are sinfully good little appetizers that are not only easy to make but are not sinfully bad for you!


Ingredients  :

Fresh, whole jalapenos

Cream Cheese

Turkey Bacon* 



Remove the stems and slice the jalapenos in half horizontally.


 Make sure to remove all the seeds and membranes…and, remember to cover you hands when you do it!  I just use baggies.


Fill each jalapeno half with cream cheese.


Cut the bacon slices in half.


Wrap 1/2 of a slice of bacon around the jalapeno and secure with a toothpick.


Place on a cookie sheet and bake in a 400 degree oven until the jalapeno is soft and the bacon is crisp…….about 15-20 minutes.


Let them cool a bit before serving or the cream cheese will burn your tongue.  Yummy!

Layered Cream Cheese-Caramel Apple Dip

This recipe can be super easy when RVing by purchasing whipped cream cheese and using a foil pie tin. AND, it’s  decadent flavor makes you forget you’re actually doing something good for yourself….eating apples!!

Layered Cream Cheese- Caramel Apple Dip

8 0z pkg. of  cream cheese

Half of a tub of caramel apple dip

1/4- 1/2 cup of sugar (to taste)

Splash of vanilla

Heath Toffee Bits

Mini Chocolate Chips

Granny Smith Apples

1.  Blend enough sugar in the cream cheese to lightly sweeten it.

2.  Add a splash of vanilla to the cream cheese mixture.

3.  Spread the cream cheese mixture into a pie tin or other serving dish.


4.  Pour the caramel apple dip over the cream cheese mixture.


5.  Sprinkle toffee bits and mini chocolate chips over the top.
