Jalapeno Poppers

These are sinfully good little appetizers that are not only easy to make but are not sinfully bad for you!


Ingredients  :

Fresh, whole jalapenos

Cream Cheese

Turkey Bacon* 



Remove the stems and slice the jalapenos in half horizontally.


 Make sure to remove all the seeds and membranes…and, remember to cover you hands when you do it!  I just use baggies.


Fill each jalapeno half with cream cheese.


Cut the bacon slices in half.


Wrap 1/2 of a slice of bacon around the jalapeno and secure with a toothpick.


Place on a cookie sheet and bake in a 400 degree oven until the jalapeno is soft and the bacon is crisp…….about 15-20 minutes.


Let them cool a bit before serving or the cream cheese will burn your tongue.  Yummy!


* You can certainly use pork bacon but due to it’s “fatty” nature it takes much longer to crisp up in the oven, makes a bigger mess and isn’t as good for you either!
